History of Twyn yr Hydd
Step back in time and experience the wonder of Twyn yr Hydd.
This beautiful grade II listed building is full of mystery and charm, set within the grounds of Margam Country Park.
Built in 1892 for Emily Charlotte Talbot's land agent a Mr Edward Knox after Emily had inherited Margam in 1890.
The building of Twyn yr Hydd at the southern end of the park before 1914 has introduced a separate entity within the park and one with its own special character.
It is a substantial, L-shaped, two storey stone house with mullioned and transomed windows, pitched stone roofs and clustered chimneys.
