Introduction to Microsoft Word
Course Overview
This one day course introduces the beginner to Microsoft Word, including familiarisation with the screen layout, document creation, editing and production, formatting and page layout. The session on working with templates is ideally suited to those who work in an administrative environment or aspire to.
Pre-requisites
There are no formal pre-requisites for this course. However, it would be beneficial if participants were familiar with the Windows environment.
Progression
Intermediate and Advanced level courses are available for those who wish to gain a more in-depth knowledge of MS Word.
Formal Accreditation
Successful completion of this course will result in participants achieving the OCN Word level 1 award. Skills acquired also help prepare participants for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Word and the ECDL Module 3 – Word processing examination. Test preparation and formal examinations can be undertaken at the College Microsoft IT Academy by prior arrangement.
