Description
This course is designed for individuals who may encounter electric/hybrid vehicles within a routine maintenance situation. This course also contains the knowledge and skills required to work safely around a vehicle that may have had damage to its high energy/electrical system.

Progression routes are available and all individuals who wish to increase their hybrid and electric vehicle knowledge can take the following course:
- Level 4 Award in the Diagnosis, Testing and Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and Components

Who Should Attend?
This course is for technicians who maintain and repair electric/hybrid vehicles.
Method of Assessment
Practical and theory assessment workbooks completed within the classroom and workshop environment as well as a final test accredited by the IMI.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must possess certification of the Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities EV2.2 qualification and provide a copy of their certificate. Furthermore, possess relevant vehicle system maintenance, repair qualification, knowledge and experience at Level 3 and be an active technician currently working in light vehicle maintenance and repair sector. A short interview maybe required to clarify entry requirements if any of the above is not held.
Certification
Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Repair and Replacement EV3 IMI accredited qualification and college attendance certificate.
