Assessment
City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment
Description
All residential properties in the UK require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) before being marketed for sale or let. A Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) is a qualified individual who can undertake energy calculations for residential properties in order to generate these EPCs.
To do this they visit properties and collect property information which is entered into approved Reduced data Standard Assessment Procedure (RdSAP) software in order to calculate the energy performance of the property. Although this course is pre-dominantly online, there are parts where you will need to go and find information and carry out test EPC’s away from the course in your own time.
