Description
The C&G 2392 Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification qualification is aimed at practising electricians who have not carried out a lot of inspection and testing since qualifying, or who require some update training before going on to achieve the more advanced C&G Level 3 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations.
This course goes ‘back-to-basics’ on and includes hands on practical testing with the associated underpinning knowledge. Individuals who pass will have the ability to understand the process of Initial Verification.

10 evenings and a further session for the practical assessment.

Who Should Attend?
This hands on 2392 course is aimed at newly qualified electricians or those who require some update training.
Method of Assessment
This course consists of a theoretical examination and a practical assessment of competence.
Course Content
This course covers the following topics:

A refresher on the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

A refresher on electrical theory calculations
-
Preparation for inspection and testing including:
- the role and responsibilities of the inspector
- statutory and non-statutory documentation
- IP codes -
Items to inspect
- Hands on practical work with test equipment - testing includes all necessary dead and live tests

Practice filling in standard BS 7671 certification including:
- schedule of inspections and test results
- electrical installation certificate
- minor electrical installation works certificate
Entry Requirements
Individuals need to be currently working within the electrotechnical industry and have recently completed their 18th Edition qualification i.e. City & Guilds 2382-18.
All candidates must purchase prior to the course, the following publications:
